Concentration. Are the problems spread evenly across the codebase, or are they clustered in specific areas? If most critical findings are in the payment module, that's a focused risk. If they're everywhere, that's a systemic problem. Concentrated issues are usually easier and cheaper to fix.

Categories that affect the business directly. Security findings affect compliance and reputation. Testing gaps affect reliability. Dependency issues affect maintainability. Architecture problems affect how fast you can ship. You don't need to understand the technical details to understand which categories map to which business risks.


Using reports for fundraising and due diligence

There is a specific scenario where codebase review reports become extremely valuable for non-technical founders: when someone else is evaluating your technology.

During fundraising, sophisticated investors will ask about your technical stack and code quality. Having a recent, structured code review report demonstrates that you take technical governance seriously. It also lets you proactively address issues rather than having them discovered by an investor's technical advisor.

During acquisition conversations, technical due diligence is standard. If you've been running periodic code reviews, you have a history of your codebase's health over time.
